Draft Rankings

Gentleman, what a draft huh? We definitely saw some interesting picks and reaches during the draft. Nothing more notable then Joe reaching a little early for Brian Robinson because he got named the name the starter during the draft after Erik had drafted Antonio Gibson. Then Erik made a call and by the end of the draft Brian Robinson had been shot in his Hip and Knee. Some counselor Erik is huh? Anyways, Congrats to the Commish on his marriage as we wish him nothing but the best. I will now quote Mr. Alas when asked how does he think this will effect his focus on fantasy football.
"It does not matter, I already won the real ring that matters" - Mr. Alas
As you can see this definitely reflected in how he drafted as the only win that matters is that fantasy football trophy. Now lets get started. Going from first to worst.

Ryan - Draft Grade A +

Chuck: You may have not got Herbie, but your draft was by far the best drafted team coming out of this draft. Lots of upside and league winning potential.

Breakout Candidate: AJ Dillon
This man right here as an amazing chance to shine this year. He showed some promise last season and is just an absolute giant and might challenge Saquon for the biggest Quads in the league. With the departure of Davante Adams, this was a huge win for AJ Dillon as with no receivers that really have Rodgers trust besides maybe old corn on the Cobb and Lizard. Jones becomes a huge target in the passing game why Dillon just pounds the rock. Would not be surprised for double digit TD's this season.

Bust Candidate: Javonte Williams
I know this is your boy and you are high on him, however as a keeper and his current ADP. If he is not a top 10 RB he will be a huge bust. Melvin Gordon is sadly still there and frankly will demand touches. If Javonte Can not break away this could be interesting.

Sleeper Candidate: Rashaad Penny
I love me some Rashaad. Huge sleeper candidate for me this year, he dominated at the end of last year when Carson went down and being a former first round pick who is finally healthy. He is also in a Contract year and with this team possibly going into rebuild mode after the GENOLOCK trial this year with the 2nd round pick Kenneth Walker also there. This is someone tryna build a case to get paid.

Ant: The day you've been waiting for finally arrived and besides the Herbie leaks it worked out just how you wanted. Rounding out the starting lineup with pure potential, backed by 3 too 25 keepers, and reinforcements waiting on the bench has left you with the strongest team to start the year

Breakout Candidate: Deandre Swift
The third year back has all the opportunity in the world to prove himself as a RB1 this year. Great runner, Great pass catcher, workhorse role. Three ingredients to a top fantasy back.

Bust Candidate: Javonte Williams
The new looks Denver Broncos back has the potential to be a great back in this league but the  Broncos are hell bent on using Melvin Gordon in a split role. On one hand it could keep Javonte Fresh, but it could also take away a lot of work from the guy he could be

Sleeper Candidate: Dameon Pierce
Well it doesn't matter now, but Dameon carved himself out the #1 role in this backfield. The release of Marlon Mack only solidified that statement and left Dameon with great opportunity to score basically all the touchdowns for this team on the year

Ant - Draft Grade A

Chuck: What a great draft for you. You have the potential to go back to back and if your receivers end up working out, this can get ugly real fast.

Break out Candidate: Courtland Sutton

Courtland has the opportunity to become a top 10 fantasy receiver right away with Broncos Country, Lets Ride at QB. With so much young talent on this Broncos team and being the WR1, look for Sutton to take the league by storm.

Bust Candidate: Christian McCaffery

CMC has now just played 10 games since 2019. However, this man is still only 26. CMC is the definition of a league winner and has a potential to rush for 1000+ yards, have 100+ receptions, and 1000+ receiving yards which is what he did his last full healthy season. However, if CMC can not stay on the field this season it will not look to good for those that trusted this guy to be the #1 pick.

Sleeper Candidate: Rhamondre Stevenson

Ant I know you are high on Stevenson with all the noise around him, however what is rule #1 in fantasy? Do not trust the Patriots backfield. The last running back to be in the Patriots backfield that was not in a committee approach was probably Corey Dillon. He is talented and if Damien Harris goes down or gets traded. Stevenson can definitely perform way above is APD.

Ant: The champ had a good draft and was able to snag multiple targets of his. Starting the season with three running backs and watching the wide receivers slide down the board was a storybook beginning to a title defense season

Breakout candidate: Rhamondre Stevenson 9.10
Stevenson has gotten reports over taking over the main back job all offseason. The injuries to Ty Montgomery and James Whites retirement have also strengthened his case for pass catching duties. Bust candidate: Christian McCaffery
Possibly the #1 bust candidate of the year could also be a league winner. We all know CMCs talent but the best ability is availability Sleeper candidate: Rashod Bateman
The new WR1 in Baltimore is going to be a volume monster this year. His end of year finish will be purely based on what he can do with those opportunities.

Chuck - Draft Grade B

Chuck: You went from no picks to having picks to trading picks for more picks and picks for less picks and somehow it worked out.

Breakout Candidate: Travis Etienne

Travis is healthy and after not being able to play his rookie year is hungry. Playing along side his college QB in Trevor and dominating the passing game with him at Clemson, there are high expectations here.

Bust Candidate: Michael Thomas

MT has played 7 games since 2019 and is finally healthy probably. He has league winning potential, however he also has a higher injury rate. Here is to hoping you prove the haters wrong.

Sleeper Candidate: Mecole Hardman

With Cheetah gone, Mecole has the opportunity to eat up the Deep Threat Roll. The Chiefs went and got the Tik Tok CEO for someone to dance with Jackson Mahomes and picked up a another speedster in MVS who could not figure it out in GB with Percocet Rodgers. Hardman has the most chemistry with Mahomes and this could be the year he makes some impact.

Ant: Starting the draft with no picks left chuck in a tough position. But after some maneuvering he ended up with a solid starting lineup that could play against anyone. That bench tho, yiiiikes.

Breakout candidate: Travis Etienne

The Clemson alum finally gets to play NFL football this year and he's ready to show why the Jags paired him with his old College running mate. Expect heavy volume early in the year and league winning potential even when James Robinson comes back

Bust Candidate: Michael Thomas

Can't Guard Mike has yet to put together a healthy year since 2019 and 2022 hasn't started great. He has a lingering hamstring Injury that could prove to carry throughout 2025 at this point.

Sleeper Candidate: Kadarious Toney

The former first round pick probably had every injury known to man last year but he's coming into this year ready to prove himself. With no clear WR2 behind him Toney's main detriment is his own QB.

Gio - Draft Grade B

Chuck: Gio you are starting the year with 3 solid RB's. You had a great draft, but with the problem of no Depth, but you can easily find yourself back in the yoffs.

Breakout Candidate: Amon-Ra St. Brown

I love this guy, Hardknocks star with a chip on his shoulder. He was dominating towards the end of last season and with a improved lions team, he can propel to be their best WR since megatron.

Bust Candidate: Darren Waller

Waller the Baller is no longer the ball Hogger. With Davante coming over to be with his college QB and Renfrow becoming known as another Hard worker in the NFL this will only eat into Wallers touches.

Sleeper Candidate: Darnell Mooney

Mooney is now the #1 guy in Chi-town. Justin Fields has the potential to maybe be the best Bears QB since the Cutler. Mooney has great potential and was already picking it up towards the end of last year with some flashes of greatness.

Ant: Starting the year with three running backs on his keeper list Gio needed to snag some value at WR, and that he did. He rounded out his starting lineup with great pass catchers. Looking at his bench leaves much to be desired but the guys there could still easily be moved. Gio has work to do but the league runner up will have a great shot for another deep playoff run.

Breakout Candidate: Amon Ra St Brown

One of the stars of this years Hard Knocks ended his 2021 campaign on a strong note and looks to build off that. He could easily carve out a role in a not so good offense and be a potential WR1 this year

Bust candidate: Darren Waller

The man who basically lives on gios team has to slow down at some point, and this might be the year. With a new regime in Las Vegas and a new WR1 to take away targets Waller will no longer be the guy in for Derrick Carr, does he still have top 3 TE potential? Yeah but this is the least confident I've felt of him in years

Sleeper Candidate: Allen Lazard

Someone's gotta catch the ball in Green Bay right? And if it's going to be anyone it'll be the guy who Rodgers has built a relationship with in years past. He's not Davante Adams but having Arod throw you the ball can make anyone a Davante lite.

Bryan - Draft Grade B

Chuck: Bryan you took over a great keeper situation and made it worse, but took a shitty draft situation and made it better. Taking over he who shall not be names team and with the draft you had. You have the Chance to break the streak of the first new owner to make playoffs in their first year of LOD.

Breakout Candidate: Cam Akers

Cam Akers has the potential to become a star in this league. He showed amazing strides last year on the way to a rams superbowl win and is looking to put together his first full season as the guy. With the talent surrounding akers, even with henderson there, there is potential of a League winner here.

Bust Candidate: James Conner

This is the obvious choice for bust as he was TD dependent in a unhealthy year for RB's last year. A Rb who has  never ran for a 1000 yards in a season or never played a complete season healthy. He is more than likely going to finish well under is ADP and not finish the season healthy.

Sleeper Candidate: Michael Gallup

Im gonna go with the cowboys #2 receiver here. Gallup has showed a lot of potential and now with cooper gone in this extremely high powered offense Gallup can definitely hit some strides and become a solid WR2 with WR1 potential.

Ant: The new guy has caught a lot of shit, rightfully so, for his offseason moves but the draft ended up looking good.  The starting lineup looks extremely well rounded but the bench looks very just not. That's something that can be changed through waivers or trades. Either way welcome to the league, and I hope you have fun in week 1 vs the returning champ.

Breakout candidate: Tee Higgins

Tee May have to share the field with Jamaar but that didn't stop his production last year. With the Bengals rebuilding their O line it should give JB9 more time to find his open man across the field. I expect things from Tee this year and I'm sure you do too.

Bust candidate: James Conner

I know you have a "feeling" about James but he's not going to replicate that crazy touchdown year of last year. And to give up on Jefferson to roll the dice on him hurts even more. You see potential, I see a guy who had an outlier year.

Sleeper candidate: Khalil Herbert

This was really the hardest sleeper pick of the league but it's gotta be someone. Khalil is one injury away from taking over the backfield but that's a lot to ask for. Who know, maybe it pays off big, especially for where you snagged him.

Wings - Draft Grade C

Chuck: You traded JT for picks and you knew what was going to happen and came out with a questionable RB Core, but a solid receiving core, but hey you have big dick allen.

Breakout Candidate: Michael Pittman

Pittman is playing with the best QB of his Career and is looking to build on last season. Pittman has the potential to be a star with JT drawing so much attention look for Pittman to dominate on the outside.

Bust Candidate: Ezekiel Elliot

Butterfinger Zeke is looking for a rebound season even though he ran for 1000 yards. His fumble numbers were up, but he still has 12 TD's last season. However, the cowboys keep leaning towards pollard more and more everyday. Zeke is on contract until 2027, so look for him to bounce back or end up on the chopping block.

Sleeper Candidate: Brandin Cooks

Cooks has been through alot in his NFL career. To 4 different teams, losing two super bowls, having 10 different QB's through 8 seasons and he still finds away to be consistent every year. This year with the emergence of Davis Mills and a young offense in houston looking to find its stride, look for the vet to possibly have the best season of his career.

Ant: Low expectations were on your side coming into this draft but the team looks good despite that. Your time will rely on Big Dick Josh and your strong WR core. Behind that you have lots of question marks at RB. You have the cowboys backfield and Breece hall to rely on. Not Ideal, but not terrible.

Breakout candidate: Michael Pittman

Pittman proved his value last year and this year it's time to shine. I fully expect him to take the AJ brown role in Tennessee with JTaylor demanding stacked boxes. The kid has true WR1 potential.

Bust candidate: Ezekiel Elliot

We've seen this story over and over. Feed Zeke, get 3 yards, disappointment.  Can Zeke regain his form? It'll be tough with a replenished O line and Tony pollard eager to steal touches.

Sleeper Candidate: Romeo Doubs

Romeo has seemed to carve himself out a role in the preseason and through camp. Rodgers has traditionally never trusted rookies but between him and Christian Watson something's gotta give. And to snag him in the 17th is very low risk for high reward. I'm also a huge Nevada fan now so go Wolf Pack.

Erik - Draft Grade C

Chuck: Erik you kept 3 receivers and decided to make Ryan your mortal enemy by drafting Herbie with your first pick instead of taking a RB. You somehow always find a way to be competitive, but this year might be the year you are not.

Breakout Candidate: Jerry Jeudy

Jeudy has the speed and outside threat to really dominate with Wilson. Wilson loves to throw it deep too. Let Wilson Cook has the potential to really bring Jeudy to a new level.

Bust Candidate: Antonio Gibson

Gibson got saved from a rookie taking his job due to someone trying to steal his car. Gibson had a great year last year in terms of RB's due to an injury riddled year for RB's, but losing touches everyday to Mckisic and now the rookie. If Gibson does not get out the gate fast, with the Commanders in the middle of figuring out if they want to rebuild or not, does not look great for Gibson.

Sleeper Candidate: David Montgomery

I am gonna go with Montgomery here due to I am expecting Justin Fields to have a great year and the bears to be someone competitive enough to be a 8-9 team. Montgomery is the work horse in this offense if he remains healthy and shows he is a powerful runner and great receiver out the backfield. Would not be surprised to see Montgomery take a giant leap forward.

Ant: Reverse of what Gio and I did in our drafts Erik decided to start his year with 3 WRs. And while they're all good receivers the running backs started to fall fast. David Montgomery is a a solid pick and Antonio Gibson only has this job now because of a freak incident. If one of the ms goes down, you're going to need to dip into that WR depth

Breakout Candidate: CeeDee Lamb

Cedeedeus!! It pained me letting go of this man but you got a hell of a guy here. I truly feel like CeeDee has potential to be a top 5 receiver in this league and this year has all the potential for him to prove it. Dak will feed this man and I expect him to eat In that Cowboys offense

Bust Candidate: Antonio Gibson

He's had time to prove his worth at this point and it's just not working. After taking special teams reps this offseason he's moving In the wrong direction, and if Brian Robinson can come back it could spell the end of Gibson in this offense.

Sleeper Candidate: Amari Cooper

With Deshaun "Piece of shit" Watson out for 11 games it's gonna be Jacoby Brisett feeding Amari for most of the season. Despite this I expect Amari to receive the volume needed to outperform his draft spot. He's show his talent in the past, but are those days finally behind him?

Joe - Draft Grade D

Chuck: Joe, there was so much hype around your keepers and draft that you were expected to have the best team coming out of this draft, then you fumbled your draft hard. This is either BOOM with not a lot of it or bust with alot of bust word to OG Mudbone

Breakout Candidate: Christian Kirk

I am gonna go with the receiver that set the market for getting paid this year. Going into a situation with a young hungry team that wants to get back to the playoffs with being paid to be the guy. I can see Kirk taking major strides and really becoming a receiver to watch for in this league.

Bust Candidate: Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs since coming into the league has seen his numbers decline every season. Now with Josh Mcdaniels there and the offense he loves to run with no workhorse back you can expect to see Jacobs continue to decline. Going from 2 RB's on the roster to now 4 in the mix. Josh Jacobs will be TD dependent.

Sleeper Candidate: Tyler Lockett

I am going to go with Lockett here. He has GENOLOCK situation and frankly Lockett when Geno played last season had great chemistry with. Lockett is a receiver that can easily get into space when needed and has the potential to really help propel one of these QB's potential.

Ant: The man who owned half of the draft a week before the draft actually had a lot to work with. But the trade for Taylor took that away. I never understand your draft strategy but it's very too heavy with potential all over the board. I don't know if that's a good thing, but it's something.

Breakout Candidate: Trey Lance

The former #3 pick has this offense all to himself now. And while he's still extremely raw it's his offense to lose. No matter what his legs will get him points. If that's enough to overcome his other flaws we'll see. But there's true top 5 QB potential here.

Bust candidate: Josh Jacobs

He's got plenty of doubters this year, me included, and especially at this spot. I just can't trust a guy in a patriots coach offense and especially one that has constantly been average to slightly above average. I really would've rolled the dice on another receiver here.

Sleeper Candidate: Christian Kirk

This man got paaaaaaid to be the #1 in Jacksonville this year and maybe it was unwarranted but it happened. I expect Trevor Lawrence to take a huge step this year and this will be his partner in crime. It's time for Kirk to prove his worth with that killer speed.

Roberto - Draft Grade D

Chuck: Rob fadez I was having high hopes you started off okay in your draft then, out of nowhere everything went to shit. I know you will find a way for Rob will just fade away.

Breakout Candidate: JK Dobbins

Dobbins is expected to become a workhorse this season, for a team that is run heavy. Dobbins can easily be a league winner with top 5 potential.

Bust Candidate: Damien Harris and Elijah Mitchell

I am going with two running backs here as both these teams usually feed the hot hand. Both teams also have not had a RB control the backfield for more than three seasons in a row for almost 9 years now. I expect both to have solid seasons in contributing, but not enough to be consistent.

Sleeper Candidate: Julio Jones

I am gonna go with washed Jones here. He is one season removed from being a top 3 fantasy receiver and is now with the best QB of his career with the goat. The last time a receiver was washed and ended up with Brady was Randy Moss. We remember how that turned out. Will Julio have that type of season probably not, however Julio Jones has the potential and the volume and with Godwin and Evans constantly switching off on who gets hurt Jones can finish way above is ADP.

Ant: The all swag team followed his path and took the names that look cool. Arguably the best WR duo in the league Roberto needs to shore up his RB's if he hopes to compete this year. Also, you have one spot left on your team unfilled and a guy who's unsigned and out til mid season. In case ya didn't know

Breakout Candidate: JK Dobbins

He may not start the season starting but the man has a great position to be a top back in the league. Mix in the Ravens offense looking to go run heavy again and you may have found a keeper for next year.

Bust Candidate: Elijah Mitchell

Elijah is in the best run scheme offense in the league, but it doesn't mean it's going to stay his. With basically 50 backs behind him Elijah is going to have to prove his worth to Shanahan, and stay healthy at the same time.

Sleeper Candidate: Drake London

Admittedly, I'm really horny about the USC grad but it's not unwarranted. The kid has undoubtedly the best tools of his draft class at WR but the problem is the team he's on. Give it some time and he'll prove that. And also, what a cool fucking name.

Nauch - Draft Grade D

Chuck: Nauch you went from getting picks to draft, to trading them away cause you could not draft, then going you could draft, then to having wings draft until your girl started driving so you can draft. So at least you are sticking to your script of being MR. Fuck a draft and Frauch.

Breakout Candidate: Kyle Pitts

With this team in rebuild mode, this kid has a chance to really dominate with the volume he is going to see. He is a big target and is hungry to started building a great career.

Bust Candidate: Derrick Henry

I am gonna go Henry here. Obviously he is the most powerful runner in the league, however with the decline of the Receiving core for tannehill and the poor play from tannehill with the expectancy of running the football with no threat on the outside, we can see a season where Henry does well but does not dominate.

Sleeper Candidate: Isiah Pacheco

This guy has been getting hyped all through training camps and had a great preseason. With CEH not performing, we could see an emergence of this 7th round rookie.

Ant: Mr fuck a draft started the off season with no picks. Had a full draft. Then was happy with trading them away for a comparable RB. Relying on two backs to carry the load will be tough especially with that horrendous WR trio. Hopefully this year you look at your surroundings and turn into mr fuck the season

Breakout Candidate: Kyle Pitts
The man everyone wants to see succeed. Pitts is poised to make a name for himself this year after a strong rookie campaign. He has every single tool to be the best TE in the league, maybe this is the year he cements that.

Bust Candidate: Chase Claypool

Chase has a proven his talent in this league but he's also proven his lack thereof. With the Steeler drafting George Pickens to fill in behind him I expect that talented rookie to eat into his role. His path to success here is all the touchdowns

Sleeper Candidate: George Pickens

As I said before, the extremely talented Georgia grad has room to carve out his spot in this WR room. If he can put together some solid games he may even be able to overtake Claypools spot. Regardless of who the QB is, Pickens will do well in this offense.

There you have it. Lets start off with a bang this season boys. Power Rankings coming soon....
